Template 1

I decided to use this theme because it's simplistic and looks like it'd be easy to navigate for anyone. Every link one would be looking for will be easy to find. I also enjoy the dark theme because I think any pictures I decide to include on my blog will pop more and be a little more appealing. There's so many personal blogs out there that have so much clutter, it makes you just want to exit out of the tab within seconds. It's just an overall eyesore.

I feel this theme is also a bit more representative of me. Many of the other themes are too vibrant or colorful for my liking. I enjoy darker tones of black and grey. Darker colors just feel more chilling and mysterious, which is intriguing to me. I don't like dark colors because I'm a sad person, just to clarify. I also think anyone who stops by to take a peak at the blog will get some sense of exploration and want to continue navigating throughout the page. While it's simplistic and has very minimalist elements, I'm a firm believer in what my 8th grade art teacher always said "less is more".

  1. I also chose to go with the most simple theme because this is all very new to me. I appreciate the simplicity. I also agree that the darker colors will make photos stand out more. Definitely a solid choice for a blog.

  2. Hi, the dark woods in your picture are definitely chilling and mysterious. It reminds me of the move Sleepy Hollow, which is one of my all time favorite. I also agree that that putting pictures in a black background make them more visible. Katalin

  3. I too gravitate towards the darker colors such as grey and black. In fact my entire wardrobe is black at this point. It just works perfectly for everything. One thing I found years ago in playing live music is to play a white guitar with a black wardrobe for a very striking look. This is a very clean layout.

  4. Hey there!
You had mentioned that the chilling mysterious vibe is something the intrigues you and this definitely captures that. As Katalin stated it gives off a Sleepy Hollow or Steven King vibe.
